Every Time A Guitar Headstock Snaps, A Pontiac Smites a Pedestrian

Last night ranks up there as one of the weirdest nights of my entire life. I start out the evening by hoodwinking the kind and nearly omnipotent Steve Green into dropping me off at old foobarfighter's house. We roll up at around 8 o'clock, but Steve and I continued sharing tactics for escaping industrial serfdom until like 9. Of course, by this time, foobarfighter is AWOL. Using my hoyhoysense (© 2008), I triangulated old boy's 20 at Delaney's. When I get there, he's already embroiled in some heated debate where he was convincing some freelance professor that Thom Hartmann was a far better polemicist than Christopher Hitchens. Having heard enough extreme moderate drivel, I borrowed his iPhone and headed for the street. As soon as I leave the pub, the infamous David Ulevitch comes sauntering by. Immediately, I restarted my relentless campaign to guilt him into gifting me a OpenDNS hoodie, but he was having none of it.

After that, I somehow pry foobarfighter from Delaney's and get him to let me drop off my massive backpack at his place. We walk down there, and he lets me go in first with the lights off. On the way in, I bump into his Fender acoustic guitar with my leg and knock it off the stand onto the floor. The impact completely snapped the headstock from the neck of the guitar. I felt terrible about the whole ordeal and offered to pay for the guitar, repeatedly. The good foobarfighter would have none of it. He hands me a cold Sierra Nevada and we then proceed to discuss the finer points of implementing shingling algorithms in Javascript.
