Honda S2000 vs. BMW Z4

Out of these two small roadsters which one is best? That’s the questions I am going to try and answer in this article. Both fit the specs for a traditional roadster, two seats, rear wheel drive, small engine, and the best of all, being a convertible. These are the attributes that won the roadster genre so much fame with cars like the Jaguar E type of the 60’s. And so with the combination of Honda reliability and BMW performance this could be an interesting question; especially important to me because these are the cars I am deciding between the S2000 and Z4 for my next purchase in the coming weeks.





The BMW Z4 has been faulted lately for having “weird” and “unBMWlike” styling, however I think that it’s a brilliant looking car, one that embodies the essence of a roadster cruiser. With its long hood and short back combined with a low and far back driving position, the Z4 is truly menacing when seen on the road. To compliment this striking design BMW has incorporated great performance qualities to further enhance the experience of driving a Z4. The guys at BMW have used a straight 6 engine with displacements at 2.5 liters or 3.0 liters, the same engine BMW uses in its 3 series. It’s this engine that has won many of BMW’s engines of the year awards....
